Thomas J. Hainje serves as Associate General Counsel for Schafer Richardson, and provides guidance to Schafer Richardson’s Development, Asset Management, Property Management, Construction, Leasing, Accounting, and SR Realty Trust teams on a wide array of legal matters.

Mr. Hainje is an experienced real estate, business, and commercial transaction and litigation attorney. Prior to joining Schafer Richardson as in-house counsel, Mr. Hainje spent more than 13 years in private practice at several respected law firms in Minneapolis.

Mr. Hainje focuses primarily on real estate transactions, leases, real estate and business financing, contract drafting and negotiations, litigation, insurance, and business formation, structuring, sales, and acquisitions. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota State Court (2009), Wisconsin State Court (2017), and in the United States District Courts for the District of Minnesota (2010), Western District of Wisconsin (2020), and Eastern District of Wisconsin (2020).

Mr. Hainje holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Law from Winona State University (Summa Cum Laude), and a Juris Doctorate degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law f/k/a Hamline University School of Law.
